host own palace server

hello, just a short question.
i have my own server with webspace and all this stuff.
how can i run my own palacechat there (it shall be online 24/7)?

If it is just a webserver for webpages you cannot use it to host your Palace. A palace server needs special permissions to run the PAlace server software. These permissions only come with special SHELL accounts or just Palace hosting accounts. Like the ones Palace planet offers.

What do they mean with the exceptional approval/authorization? I have an own web hosting service, if you can call it like that, i have unlimited access to the entire Host. I have a steady IP and can give webspace to single homepages. There are a few homepages located on this server and I'd like to add a Palace chat on my own server for one of my HPs, since I want the chat to available even when I'm offline. Therefore I need to know how or what I need to upload to my server that and/or which authorizations I need to have that the chat finally works.

If your using a Linux Distro, such as Red Hat Linux 5.x and up, than you can install the Palace Server Software. Now if your running something like Microsoft? Windows? 95/98/2000/ME/NT/XP, than you may only run one server instance at a time, legally.

Palace Server Software, needs permission. It cant just run on its own, you must have Shell access, a username at a Linux Server.
