Props/Palace Crash

I have dled a new client, added 98se files...nothing has worked...please help

I have a frustrating problem....wondering if anyone else has had it happen, or has a clue to how to fix.

Basically, when i make avs now and have pasted to my prop bag, all seems fine...but as soon as I attempt to wear them, I freeze up.
I can see everyone speaking, and yet I cannot talk, eventually I loose connection.

this operating system is XP btw, the other is Windows 2000 prof

I have tried a new fresh bag, and I have re-installed palace client, but same result.

I can also accept an av from someone and wear, but everything appears fine.

I also discovered that some very old avs freeze me as well.

HELP....!
Appreciate anyone's help, thanks very much..

Hey

Sorry about the slow responce, anyway, here goes :)

So this only happens on XP? Have you turned on compatibility mode?
(right click the palace32.exe, in properties there is a compatibility mode option. Set it to windows 98 )

Another question is: did you install in a new directory? Added any cyborg stuff? And are any other programs open when you try this? Something like norton or maccaffee? They tend to mess things up a bit.

Hoi,

The funny thing is that when I turn on Windows98 compatibility for Palace, than the log stuffs up. The text shows all on one line. Turning off compatibility fixes that problem again.

Chao,

Same here, Nimue!
And I thought it was me..
I'm running XP Home.
When editing avs I have to shutdown palace about every 2 minutes or so otherwise I'm going to lose all the editing.
On my previous computer with ME I never had that problem.

No idea why this is or what to do about it.

Greetings! :)

I bought a new computer a month ago or less and... well.. Window XP and The palace are not getting along very well.

My problem is I worked on my avs in the palace by using Edit.. *crash* for many times. This time I tried another way, I worked on my avs in the Paint Shop Pro (hope it might work), then paste it into the palace... *crash* Impossible to try anything to EDIT.... I want to edit my own crappiest avs to make it look nicer or my own creation of avs! :x

I then read your forum about the compatibility mode thing.

And the log, the text shows all on one line only.

I guess I have to say Good bye to The Palace, eh? I've been using it for more than 5 yrs. I had never problem with Window'98 and later on..'98SE but WINDOW XP.

Please help us

The Palaceian,
LeeLee
