No one can connect to my palace

Hello,I have recently downloaded the palace sever and have begun to build my palace. However when I told people the address they were unable to connect. I have done alot of research about this and have read all of the other posts on here about this subject but i still don't know what to do. I also got a re-direction address from dynds.org and i also checked my fire wall, no problem there. My system is windows xp and I amnetworked to one other computer and my internet service is DSL. I also went to whatismyip.com to find out my ip.When i tried my ip on the palace though it didn't work, however my other ip does work but now since i have my palace directed i no longer need to use the ip as my address . I've tried alot of things and read alot of manuals but i still don't know what to do to enable visitors to come to my palace. Please help, thanks for reading

Well the big question here is are you directly connected to the internet or is there another PC that is the one connecting and yu share that connection.

If that is the case the Palace server will not work for the outside world.

This isn't the case for me, but I still have the same problem as sumgirl.

I've gone to animepalace.de's forum, a yahoo group forum, and avatarpalace's forum, but no one has answered me after 2 days and the sites are all extremely active.

Have you put this in your host file 216.201.182.27 directory.thepalace.com
Its located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

If you havent then add it.

Yes, I've done that already.

You can all so use your client ip
If you get your client ip then use the port 9998 it should connect you as it did with me.

I have my own address from dynds.org as well, the address is cd.kicks-ass.net port 9998......... and just now i went on with a second client to test a script, than at the gate i made a door lead to somewhere else and the bg just stopped showing. Still as far as I know, no one can connect to my palace but me.

If you are using a Router to connect more than one computer to your Internet provider, You have to get the IP from the DSL or Cable Modem.
The IP you need is the WAN IP ( the IP assigned to you by your provider )

Also if the router has NAT or Firewall you will have to set up a Virtual Server. When you do this you use the port 9998 . When an access comes to the router at the WAN IP that is looking for that port, the router will redirect it to the IP of theof the Virtual Server wich is the Server you are running the PC Server program on.

As of this time people can access my Server but they do not receive the room pics. I am trying to find the port that is used for the Server Downloading to the clients. If I find it I will pass that information on.

Another problem is that your Provider changes the IP that is assigned when you connect , at regular intervals.
