The Palace CPU Usage Issue

Im not sure if anyone else has posted about this problem, Ive looked but havent seen anything similar.....

Everytime I load The Palace my CPU usage goes up too 100%, I have scanned for viruses, spyware and all that, its only when i use The Palace, I have even tried downloading the software again, but the result stays the same.

What causes this? Can it be fixed?

I use Windows XP.. That shouldnt be a problem right?

This is pretty normal for the Palace, it has always shown a 100% CPU load but it will give back any CPU power immediately when another program requests it. There is nothing you can do about it except not look at you CPU use when you have the Palace software open :P

So don't worry about it you will probly have noticed everything works fine no matter what anyway.

The Problem with that is, it causes my cpu temp to go up, causing my computer to overheat and eventually the CPU warning comes up telling me my computer is way to hot. And within a matter of minutes it shuts off.

Really? that sucks...

But it does make me wonder about your hardware setup, even fully loaded it should never overheat.

Are you overclocking the CPU or using a basic cooling fan perhaps? I'm afraid you can't really find the solution in Palace itself, it will always take 100% of your CPU whatever you do. So you have to either use something like Instant Palace or find a better way to cool your CPU.

Good luck!

Thanks for the help I appreciate it. I am going out to buy a better HeatSink because the one I have is pretty basic., I thought that might have been the problem, Just wanted to be sure. I think once I have that put in, everything should work out fine.

Thanks :)
