Palace always kicks me off
:( Whenever I try to get on Palace it will kick me off after about 5-10 minutes. I am running Windows XP and have tried to change the compatibility of The Palace Client to all other Windows OS. I have 1 gig of ram so I don't think that's the problem. Could you please help me out with this? Thanks

Definately a memory problem (g) just kidding.
Are you sure its not a connection problem? Does the Palace client kick/disconnect when your on a home server as well?
Is it dropping the connection or closing the client? And do you have anything running like norton anti virus or some real time system check thing? This could cause strange things to happen to.

I'm not running Norton or anything like that. I'm not sure if it's a connection problem or not. It seems like if it was it would kick me off the entire net. It kicks me off no matter what palace I'm on. I have satelite internet, and my computer is fed through a wireless network. It doesn't close the client, it just drops the connection.

Ah well who knows, Palace is a bit more sensitive when it comes to connections because it needs non stop connection. Have you tried it on a local Palace server? I mean just install a Palace server on your PC drop the client in there and see what happens?

I have a whole new problem now. I'm trying to uninstall Palace, to re-install it. But whenever I do that it says "Error: Cannot read Log.ini"

I'd just reinstall right over everything without un-installing. Just be sure you back up your prop, bookmarks and cyborg files. Doing it this way should overwrite all the older files with the newer installation.

To be honest I never heard of a reinstall fixing anything with Palace, as far as I know the only thing that can break is your propfile but then Palace just doesn't start at all.

Well that may be the case, but StRaven's problem is that it's not reading a file properly. Either because the file is corrupt or simply not there. Since Palace doesn't install a Log.ini file, I can only assume he's talking about the Install.log file. In which case, reinstalling Palace should fix that file. If his problem is it can't be read because it's not there, then reinstalling will place the file there so he can continue with the uninstall.

I'm afraid your missing the point here, if re-installing doesn't solve anything then uninstalling isen't an issue.
Like I said, reinstalling the Palace never solved anything. The only file that breaks is Palace.prp and that one you can replace by getting a new copy from the download section here on Palace Planet.
To be honest I still think making sure its not a internet connection problem by using a local server is still the most logical next step. The software works otherwise you wouldn't be able to connect at all.
If you want to get rid of the Palace you can just delete the folder, it doesn't need an uninstall.
