The tiny text problem is a pretty annoying one and can take a while to fix.Did you try to set a different sized font in your Preferences? (edit menu/preferences/change font)
Here is what Glide wrote about this issue and I'm afraid the best solution so far:

There is another method some have used to correct this condition successfully. You can put groups of fonts in the trash, (don't delete them, just store them there), restart your computer, launch Palace, and see if the condition clears.
