Open Palace

This certainly is Palace News, I think any ways :)

I know there was a little posted about Open Palace a few places here at this community but I have not seen any recently about it??

I was looking around at it this morning and noticed the maker of Open Palace has it now where avatars can be worn, not just smileys!! And I think that is a major accomplishment!! On Instant Palace if I am correct, only the smileys could be wore. The maker of Open Palace does not have it yet where people can see/save avatars that are in avatar generators (not that I could see any ways) but if loose props are in a palace room someone using Open Palace can drag them to the prop box he has on Open Palace and wear them. And some said it couldn't be done!! Since he could do that I am hoping he will be able to get it where Open Palace users soon can get avatars through the avatar generators :)

I also love the zoom that is on Open Palace that can make the background picture larger :)

I do not know about anyone else but I have such a hard time getting new people on palace because so many people are afraid of the downloads! :( They don't have much problem being on web sites that have all the ads putting spyware and worse on their computers but some won't take a chance with the palace downloads :( So, I think Open Palace has REAL possibilities to bring back the life to palace that it needs!!! So, easy for everyone to get in a palace with Open Palace and so much nicer to have a live chat than sending messages back and forth all day on Twitter. Sorry, I know it's popular but I just don't like Twitter LOL.

And I still hear people talk how much more fun palace is than many of the popular web sites so we just need to spread the word about Open Palace and get it to come up through search engines when simply typing "chat" in the search field along with this site coming up, too :)

UPDATE: OH MY this is just so cool!!! Yesterday when I tried to get the avatars in avatar generators to work on Open Palace it did not but today it is. A few kinks I noticed but wow this guy that is doing Open Palace is a genius!! Not saying the other palace makers were not a genius too :) but so many people did not think this could be done getting avatars other than smileys through a web browser client or whatever you call that lol and to be honest I didn't think he could, either, but boy did he show us. Okay, can't you just feel the excitement. I still can't get the sounds to work on Open Palace but maybe next time I try that will work, too :) Somebody needs to figure out the best way to get the word out across the Internet about Open Palace!

I have to agree Country. I was just introduced to OpenPalace yesterday and I'm impressed with what little I've had time to try. Aside from the PalaceChat AV/Prop support, Brian has introduced some new exciting Iptscrae Event and Command extensions.

Of particular interest (for me anyway) are the event triggers ON ROLLOVER and ON ROLLOUT and the command SETPICLOCLOCAL.

Zoom feature is nice for those of us with poor vision but what I really like is being able to bring in larger background images =)
