How can i mark a Wizard/God ?

Hello,

How can i mark a Wizard/God?
Like the name between a ~ for a Wizard/God
Rentahero did it with his RentaDabo to, how can i do the same?

Example Names (WIZARD/GOD)
~Feivel~

Example Name (Normal user)
Feivel

How can i do this?

Yup, only symbol that is exclusive to wizards/gods is the *

Some people think its important you see who is a god or a wizard and use *** or even ****. Personally i think thats a bit to much attention grabbing and prefer no symbols :)

You want to insert the ~ into your name? You mean you can't right now? If not your server might name the special character plugin. Only available for Linux Servers.

So i guess you got a server running with instant Palace and you want to wiz/ god with the instant Palace client? You can still use the * in your name if you use the instant Palace or Palace client.

Yes but then everbody can use an Moderator name, by serting in *
I need a script if somebody does ~susr password and it's correct, he will be granted with a * or a ~
So i can make it clear for my visitores it's a REAL Moderator.

People can use the * in their name without being a wizard??? That should not be possible.

Not sure if its possible to script wizard / god permissions, that would mean a lot of scripts allover the place if it can be done.

If you are worried about people knowing if they really are a god or a wiz why don't you put in a room pic with the names of your gods and wizzards, simply stating that if someone needs any help they may contact one of the people listed here. Could even add it as a side list on your landing or an enterance room before your main area.

As far as the scripting, I don't know if what you are wanting it possiable I will play around with that. However, even if it is all it would do is auto put the * or ~ in the name, it won't stop anyone else from adding it.

Let me shed some light on this.. i have done this with php scripting and it has nothing to do with palace server scripting or the linux chatserver. Chatters who are in a special moderator/wizard group in my portal system (xoops) just get a ~ around the name.. that's all. This doesn't mean that they are automatically wizard.. they still have to enter the wiz password. This ofcourse will only work if you can enter the chat with InstantPalace only because with the client everybody can put a ~ around the name ;-)

How this is done? As i told you before, i can't help you with that.. you have to find that out by yourself. It is not a script that can be found on the internet.
