Background download problem

I downloaded Palace Server and made a few rooms, putting the jpegs in
C:\Program Files\Communities.com\PalaceServer\palace\media. All worked fine. Then I found new pictures and sized them in Paint Shop Pro for new rooms and put those pictures in the same file as listed above.
However, for some reason when I try to download one of the new pictures in a new room I made the browser in my Palace will not see the new pictures in that path, even though they ARE there. I have tried them in both jpeg and gif. Any suggestions as to how to make the Palace brownser "see" the new pictures?

Hi

Sorry I don't get this sentense

" when I try to download one of the new pictures in a new room I made the browser in my Palace will not see the new pictures in that path"

It sounds like you browsed for the new picture when adding it to the room, if you did: this doesn't work. A room picture needs to be in the right folder, like you did. And then just added as picture name without the folder path.

So if you put in a picture and call it:
"c:/program files\communities\palaceserver\palac\media\picture .gif"
thats wrong it should just be:
"picture.gif"

(without the " " of course)

If thats not your problem, try renaming a picture you know works and see if this loads properly. Just to make sure you put them in the right media directory.

The other problem could be you names the picture gif or jpg but its not really a gif or jpg. Double check in PSP?

Well hope this helps you out in some way, good luck!

I have checked all those things and they are correct.
The pictures ARE in the correct folder and they are jpegs
But when I am in Operator, Room Info and trying to change the picture and I try to browse to that folder to select the background those pictures don't show up in browse list but they ARE in the folder when I go to my c drive and open it up manually.
It just doesn't make sense

|Have you tried renaming the pictures manually just as a test?

And you mention browsing to your picture as an operator, you should NOT browse to find the picture you should just add its name like I explained before.

Just rename the picture with file extension: test.jpg or something and try again, check your Palace Client media folder to see if you receive the files at all. Perhaps you do get the pictures but your client doesn't read them properly.

Did you try to rename pictures you already know is working??
Are you able to load the renamed picture?
