The Prop File Manager

how to manage multiple prop collections

BEFORE you do anything, BACKUP your palace.prp file!!  If you need PFM, you can find it here .

When you first start up PFM, you have to set the path to your palace.prp file and thats going to be wherever your palace directory is at with your cyborg.ipt and bookmark.dat files in it.
In this screen you can search your harddrive and find the Palace folder. Once you do, click Ok.
Creating a new propbag: Downloaded a clean propbag and copy / paste it to your Palace or PFM directory and rename it to empty.prp. Now you should see this new bag on the screen to choose from.  Highlight it and click Load. Click here to download a clean propfile and unzip it to the PFM directory naming it empty.prp
This screen will open up telling you that youve chosen to load empty.prp and would you like to save the propbag you are carrying now.  Click Yes.
Now you need to name the bag you are carrying NOW.
My personal bag I carry most of the time, Ive named Jaders, so in this field, thats what *I* would type.  You can name yours whatever will cause you to remember that this is your "main" propbag.  Click Ok after naming it.
This message appears after its done saving the current bag to Jaders telling me that its getting ready to load empty.prp.  Click Ok.

When its done loading empty.prp, it tells me that.
Click Ok.

At this point you can exit PFM or leave it open on the taskbar.  Its up to you.

Ok, Ive taken my newly loaded empty.prp propbag and made all new props for Easter and saved them all to this bag. I have all in there that I need for now and loaded them into my generators so Im ready to go back to my main propbag. This is how I would do that.

I open up PFM and find my main propbag I named Jaders, highlight it, and click Load.

It will ask if you want to save the bag you are carrying now.  Click Yes.
The screen where it wants you to name it.
We saved Easter props to this bag so guess what we are going to call it??  Yep, you got it!  Click Ok after typing in Easter.
Now, its telling me that its getting ready to load my main propbag.  Click Ok.
My main bag is loaded now.  Click Ok.
If I look at the PFM window, I can see my Easter propbag along with the empty one still in there ready to be used again when I want to start another new bag and thats how you end up with over 30 propbags like some people!
TADA!!  You are DONE!  Wasnt that easy??
