Palace Issues with Vista?

I'm avoiding Vista at all costs right now, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced issues or weird bugs running palace on Windows Vista?

I have a customer who has a very odd problem with her palace client, and it could be related to Vista or it may not be... she installed the new OS, reinstalled palace, and now her media won't save - meaning when she goes to a palace, downloads the room pics, then they go poof and she keeps having to re-download them. Anyone hear of something like this? Any ideas?

Sounds like she copied it from a CD, anything you copy from a CD will be write protected. She should check if the media folder is write protected.

Vista and palace don't mix very well. I love vista, except for when I try to use palace. I've never had that particular problem, but I can't seem to edit any avs, whenever I try, palace closes.

*the fanfare begins to play* I have the answer to this question. I just figured it out today!!!! What anyone with problems with Vista needs to do is open the Palace Client in the "Run as Administrator" mode via the right click menu. That will allow the client to retain all changes to any files and folders that are associated to Palace. Excellent, was thinking it should be a write permission problem not letting Palace create the temp prop file.

Well, thank you for the due credit. This action was found by complete accident. But I am sure that I can assist with any othe Vista issues, as I have become very intimate with this Demonized version of Windows.
