Sounds cool, if you can add two options: database logins. Like for instance something that woks with popular forum authentication? And some sort of java control panel, for wizard, plugin etc settings. And off course support for plugins.. but might not be easy.
but yes authetication through phpbb of vBulletin might be pretty cool, especially for Java client use.
